A famous Author Himmilicious stated this, “Sometimes…You love a bowl of noodles more than your partner at midnight.” So true, noodles are easy to prepare and many people love eating it. But did you know that it has harmful effects to your health? Well, no one knows what happen to their stomach when they have eaten this stuff.
According to health expert instant noodles contain high sodium and low on fiber and it isn’t as healthy as the advertisements tell you. Dr. Braden Kuo of Massachusetts General Hospital makes a first-of-its-kind experiment if what happens inside your stomach and digestive tract after you eat ramen noodles. Did you know that noodles never get broken down inside your stomach very quickly? Even after 2 hours they are remarkably intact. When food remains in your digestive tract for such a long time, it will also impact nutrient absorption, but, in the case of processed ramen noodles, there isn’t much nutrition to be had. Instead, there is a long list of additives, including the toxic preservative tertiary-butyl hydroquinone (TBHQ).This additive will likely remain in your stomach along with the seemingly invincible noodles, and no one knows what this extended exposure time may do to your health. In a further study, noodles preservative contains five grams of TBHQ which is lethal and according to A Consumer’s Dictionary of Food Additives, exposure to just one gram of TBHQ can cause nausea and vomiting, collapse, delirium, and sense of suffocation. Aside from TBHQ and a lot of sodium, eating instant noodles can increase the risk of developing diabetes and cardiovascular diseases, and the monosodium glutamate (MSG) which is excitotoxin can cause brain damage and could even trigger Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and more diseases.
So, are you still craving for this food? Well, these noodles won’t kill you instantly, but when you make a habit of eating it everyday it is harmful to your health and can cause different diseases. Why not change your habit by eating real foods and stay away from processed foods like instant noodles. Organic and natural foods are still the best food on earth.
