Dok Alternatibo together with the 1-ASAPPP movement and Prime Broadcasting Network (PBN) supported the Nutrition Month held by the Department of Education to every school all over the nation with the theme: “Pagkain ng gulay ugaliin, araw-araw itong ihain,” that focuses upon increasing the intake of vegetables in order to prevent disease based on nutrient deficiencies.
The Isaac Abalayan Elementary School in Digos City held their Culmination Program for the Nutrition Month Celebration last July 27, 2012. It was a very successful as conjoined with the event was the signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a much longer duration of the feeding program for the elementary students of the said school especially for the malnourish children in between the four parties involved (Dok Alternatibo, Isaac Abalayan Elem. School, 1-Asappp movement and PBN).
The program was colored by the different presentations of the children with their colorful presentation in connection to the theme of the program. Some made a poem and presented it in front, others composed a jingle and present it all together etc., that brought smiles and laughter to everybody.
The feeding program of Dok Alternatibo and 1-Asappp Movement will continue to strive as it will bring not just a nutritious environment but a much healthier community for the children will become more educated on what is a nutritious life should be.
