Yes. What you eat shows in your body. If you love oily and fatty food, it shows in your skin too! In the perspective of natural and holistic health expert, organic food is still the best for the body. Although meat and carbohydrates are not prohibited, they should be minimized and controlled. Eating reflects a person’s way of self-discipline. According to Food and Nutrition Research Institute, 3 out of 10 Filipinos are obese, they are more than overweight and what  makes it even more alarming is that 5 out of 10 kids are also obese! The proliferation of junk food, unhealthy and sugary drinks, highly processed food, and instant food make more people at risk in heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. The state agencies are providing mandates to stop the unhealthy diet of young people. Through the Department of Education which has given an order that every school must no longer sell unhealthy food to children, it is expected that healthy lifestyle will be given a chance. Though it’s a bit late because unhealthy diet has already killed millions, let’s all focus on the possibility and  hope that adults and young children be health conscious and responsible omnivores. “ You are what you eat” simply denotes that eating needs discipline and self-control. Your body is your only home in this planet, make it better, healthier, and happier by eating and drinking the right food and water.
